Business blogging gets BBC coverage
CW has been working closely with translation and localisation experts Conversis throughout the year to reinvigorate their international business blog.
‘The Conversation’ was launched in 2010, but in January Conversis recruited CW to refresh the blog, seeking new content ideas and increased publicity for the company.
The blog is positioned to assist and interest companies doing international business, be they current clients or potential new ones, with posts covering a number of important subjects from across the globe.
Language news, worldwide events and social media trends have all been covered in detailed posts, with a number of debates sparked by the challenging subject matter. A recent post explaining and supporting the prominence of the French language at the Olympics saw a record response.
Alongside contributing four blogs a month, CW has also produced two topical translation guides for Conversis, the first a survival guide for anyone heading over to Poland and Ukraine for Euro 2012 and the second for making visitors from over 200 Olympic nations feel welcome during London 2012.
With the release of the guides, CW secured PR coverage for Conversis on BBC regional radio and television, as well as in local press.
CW has also been involved in writing extended articles for the localisation trade press on behalf of Conversis.
Of the work CW has done, Conversis MD Gary Muddyman said:
We consider Content Works to be a real partner in our business. We operate in a very crowded market place offering a service that can often be misunderstood. CW took the time to really understand our business, our proposition and our values. Their understanding has shone through in their blog and article output and this has led to increased readership and connections with some influential media outlets including the BBC. We have been most impressed with their work and the responsive way they service our account.
