The weird and wonderful world of… maintaining energy at E.ON

Here at CW we love the special blend of challenge and excitement that comes with the delivery of some of the more unusual communications projects we work on for our clients.

In recent months, as part of our work helping E.ON keep their workforce of hundreds up to date and motivated we’ve worked on a fantastic array of fun, one-off pieces of work ranging from the design and production of giant greetings cards and magnetic jigsaw puzzles to the creation of whizzy, interactive presentations.

These greeting cards – when we say giant we mean GIANT! Each measuring over six feet long and three feet wide, these ‘Giant Buzz Cards’ were designed to catch E.ON’s employees’ attention and effectively spread the message of their ‘Buzz’ campaign. Equally important but undeniably less exciting, to support this campaign we also produced a series of informative posters.

Hot off the heels of the ‘giant’ success of the ‘Buzz’ campaign was another interesting request. This time the order of the day was a huge bespoke journey board illustrating the journey that E.ON is embarking on following the implementation of their SMART meters. Accepting the challenge, we got to work to bring what may not have semmed like a particularly exciting piece of communication to life – injecting extra special levels of design creativity! Our designer Ruth did a fine job and received a big thumbs up from the E.ON team.

It’s a real pleasure working with a client so open to creative ideas – long may E.ON continue to send their more ‘unusual’ requests our way!
